Lund: Reused pavement stone

Kävlingevägen in Lund is being rebuilt and 90 per cent of all the kerbstones and paving stones used are recycled from elsewhere in the municipality. Kävlingevägen will have new pedestrian and cycle paths and the street where cars drive will be narrowed. There are trees growing along Kävlingevägen, all of which remain. There is only one tree to be replaced; it was blown down during a storm.

First the contractor laid the stone and later the pedestrian and cycle paths were paved. Kävlingevägen and the new  pedestrian and cycle paths  were completed by the end of 2023.
